Donations are needed by the Lifesaving Corps to supplement the funding provided by the American Red Cross and the City of Jacksonville Beach, in order to provide training to our members, support our outreach programs, and maintain our facility at #2 Oceanfront.
Our members are re-certified every year in lifesaving, first aid, cpr, and are given other specialized training such as emergency driving, personal development, and leadership. We provide classes for the public such as cpr, first aid, and beach safety. Our international committee travels out of the country to train other lifeguards. The building at #2 Oceanfront was completed in 1947, and needs constant attention due to heavy use and oceanfront conditions.
Currently, our #1 project is to build an addition to the north side of the building for meetings and training.
Please donate generously and help the Lifesaving Corps continue to fulfill its mission of saving lives and education.
